The Grief Support Network is a community-based, non-profit organization that offers a new and positive perspective on the process of healing from grief and loss. GSN is committed to breaking the silence around grief in our culture and to serving as a beacon of hope for all who are suffering alone.
Mission – To transform the way individuals and our culture experience loss. We accomplish this by offering a mindful approach to grieving through meditation, yoga / movement, personal growth work and the art of listening as a pathway to healing in connection with self and community.
Yoga Therapy Programs: The Grief Support Network offers rewarding yoga therapy programs for all stages of grief and kinds of loss.
Mindful Connections Yoga Therapy Program: Mindful Connections is specially designed for high school students. This program takes a mindful and proactive approach to the social pressures, conflict, tragedies and loss that today’s youth regularly experience. This program is offered free-of-charge.
Yoga Therapy Teacher Training Program (YTT): This program offers certified yoga teachers the opportunity to learn yoga therapy practices and mindfulness-based grief education.
Peer Support Program: In grief, we often feel isolated and alone. This in turn can create increased feelings of loneliness, isolation, anxiety and depression. Pairing a mentor (a screened and trained community volunteer) with a griever creates a powerful environment of connection and support.
Wellness Retreats: GSN’s embodied approach to grief work allows you to explore the relationship between your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual bodies where your grief may serve as a catalyst for personal growth and transformation.
GSN Provider Network: Offers personalized referrals to our interdisciplinary network of healing practitioners, therapists, business resources and medical providers who offer a holistic approach to healing.
